Weekend of Family and Especially Grandparents

This weekend we had our niece Lexi over while G & G Koski went to Redfish Lake. Kaisley enjoyed having another person to play with. Saturday we went to Albion to celebrate Grandpa Smyer's birthday. It was so nice to see our cousins and to listen to old stories. A few memories that I have about Grandpa Smyer is going to the Ghetto (what he called his trailer house) and eating expired doughnuts, ho hos, and ding dongs with chocolate milk. He would take Laura and I out for ice cream and you had to hurry and eat as much as you could before you got back into the car because Grandpa liked the windows rolled down and it would cause a hurricane of Barney hair (Grandpa's dog) that would stick to your ice cream cone. They would be super furry by the time we got back to the house. Grandpa would tease me a lot growing up, but eventually we ended up having a good relationship as I got older. After the party we went to Aunt Natalie's house to see Grandma Renee.

Grandma Renee, Kais, and Kash on a previous visit.

Kaisley is the best big sister ever! We cannot believe how great she is to Kashton.

Ally would seriously hold Kashton all day if we let her!

Camping at Anderson

We went camping at Anderson Reservoir over Memorial Weekend. It was beautiful weather and we all had a blast. Grandpa and Lexi stayed in our camper with us Sunday night because they forgot their tent poles. Lexi slept in the bunk above us and I woke up to her falling off twice. Luckily I was able to push her back up before she completely fell off.
Saturday I ran 5 miles and then Monday Kash and I hiked another 5. I think if I were able to run in this scenery I would do it a lot more!

Kash's First Bath

Kashton had his first bath. He didn't really mind it at all. He gave mom a few minutes until he decided he had had enough. Afterwards we took a few pictures.

Kashton's First Camping Trip

When Kash was almost two weeks old we took him on his first camping trip. We went with Grandma and Grandpa Gillette, and Nick and Laura to 1000 Springs Resort in Hagerman. The weather was beautiful and we hooked up the campers so the babe could stay cool in the a/c. Kiley brought the fishing boat and took Nick and Laura to Blue Heart while the kiddos were napping. We had a lot of fun but brought ticks home with us! I found two on me at two in the morning, Kiley found one on him, and Kohl had 5 pulled off of her. Gross!
