State Wrestling

This last weekend we went to Pocatello to watch Jason and the rest of the Declo Hornets wrestle. My dad is the coach and my cousin Lance Gillette and Ian Webb are the assistant coaches. Jason did very well and we had so much fun watching him. His record for the season was 36-1 and he placed 2nd as a Junior! A lot of the boys on the team bleached their hair and Jason kindly let my parents choose between that or a mullet.... they chose to let him get a mullet! hahaha.... We stayed in a hotel with the wrestlers and got in the hot tub and swimming pool before ordering Applebee's for dinner. Laura, Monica, Kaisley, and I had gone shopping after Jason's second match of the day on Friday and got some really cute clothes for super cheap. Of course Kiley went to Dick's Sporting goods to look at guns :0) Kaisley was so exhausted from the meet that she was out cold expect for waking up at 5 am to eat. We saw Kayla and Wayson who is 2 months younger than Kaisley and 6 lbs bigger! It was a good trip but also very long since Kaisley doesn't like to be soothed to sleep. Aunt Laura and I had to sit up in the nose bleeds so that Laura and Kaisley could take naps :0) Aunt Cindy, Uncle Rick, and Cooper were also there. Cooper was pretty shy but he is growing up so fast! We decided that when Kaisley is his age we need an Ipad like Aunt Cindy because she had so many fun games and movies to keep Cooper occupied with. Declo took first place again in the tournament and Uncle Tyler bought Kaisley a shirt so that we could put "Declo Hornets, Back to Back State Champions" on it. We got it in 18 month size so that she can wear it next year. So proud of all of our boys and my Dad but especially Jason. We love him so much and love to support everything he does!
This is the way Kaisley looks a lot of the time now. She loves to poke out her tongue. Tayson kept trying to touch it :0) too cute

Tayson and I

Kaisley LOVES books! When Aunt Laura was reading to her she was kissing all of the baby animals on each page! She is so funny!

Of course she was passed around to everyone. At one point she was down with all of the wrestlers' girlfriends.

Jaxon and Grandpa's Birthdays

Last Saturday we celebrated Jaxon and Grandpa Gillette's Birthdays at Hop to It. I took Kaisley down a slide and she loved for me to hold her and bounce on the toys. Tayson loved to sit in the bounce house with Grandpa and bounce up and down. Jaxon was so sweet about all of his presents. He was very kind and said thank you to everyone and gave all of the kiddos gifts for coming, even baby Kayzee as he says it :0)

Valentine's Day

Valentine's Day fell on a Tuesday this year and usually that night I have class. It was cancelled this week, however, but I was accidentally scheduled to work at Applebee's that night so I ended up there. When I got home about midnight Kiley had dinner waiting for me. Home-made Vegetable Stir-Fry!!! It was delicious. He also got me chocolates, flowers, and the new Twilight movie I wanted :0) We got ourselves a couple's massage and parrafin dip but haven't had the time to schedule it yet. We got Kaisley a new outfit and tons of her favorite treats plus new ones that she hasn't tried before. We bought her gift on Monday but all three of us weren't together for her to open it until Saturday morning. It's hard not to be able to spend time as a family but I think it would be even harder to put Kaisley in daycare with someone that we didn't know and trust. Aunt Jenny came by the Sunday before and gave Kaisley some cute new outfits for her first V-Day. One was a lil Senator shirt :0)
Valentine's Day for us is still to be continued but it is nice to celebrate our new found love for our baby girl.

Big Girl

So not only does Kaisley crawl now, she CRUISES! It is hard to keep up with her anymore! We got her a toy table to practice standing and now she pulls herself up to it and everything else in the house all of the time! She is so quick I have to remember not to keep things within her reach and to keep doors closed where I don't want her to be (aka the pantry where Kohl's dog food dish and water dish are!) The 4 month old that I watch has to have her tummy time on the bed now so that she is out of reach from Kaisley's death grip. She is so hilarious too. She will pull herself up to standing and scream with excitement and then shake her head back and forth and bounce up and down. She always makes her Mom and Dad smile. She is starting to branch out of her "mommy" stage and when Kiley gets home from work she gets mad if he doesn't immediately go to her and give her love. We may be in trouble with this one :0)
Aunt Monica will watch her for us if Kiley cannot be home in time for me to go to work. She does such a good job with her and we know that she is in good hands. She used to only suck her thumb when she was tired but lately she has been doing it to comfort herself with teething and we have started to get concerned that it will turn into a problem. We bought her a new binkey and try to put it in her mouth when she starts sucking on her thumb but she only likes to play with it.
On the 10th of February we went to visit Tiff, Jon, and Hayden in Kuna. We played glow in the dark miniaturize golf, went shopping the clearance sale at Kohl's, and ate at Tucanos. They were having a Valentine's special and all of the girls (including Kais) got roses and all of the adults got truffles. I was excited to have my absolute favorite thing there: grilled pineapple!! I only got a couple of pictures from Kuna because it is such a pain to pack my nice camera everywhere. When we got home we found my small camera that I got for Christmas in Jr High School and so hopefully we will take a lot more photos.
