Baby It's Cold Outside

We needed an updated photo for our Christmas cards this year, so my parents came up to Twin to snap a quick photo. It was FREEZING! Literally, it was 9 degrees outside! We had the kids in blankets and then took pictures for 15 seconds before jumping back into our warm vehicles. The kids were troopers!

This is a normal look for Kaisley these days. Thank you terrible twos!

Grandma Gillette brought Kais this Mickey Mouse snow globe. She was in love with it. Kais accidentally broke it and said, "oh no! Sorry, Mickey!"

The winning shot :)

Thanksgiving

For Thanksgiving we went to Grandma and Grandpa Koski's house. It was a great meal and great company!

Four generations of Koski men!

Kashton loves sweet potatoes!

Christmas Tree

The Sunday before Thanksgiving we went to cut down our Christmas tree. This was the only day that we could go because Kiley would be on call for the next month straight. We got our permit and drove to the South Hills to pick a tree.
We brought our little sled, and Kaisley wanted to pull Kashton by herself. We really love that sled, so we were bummed when we accidentally ran it over :(
We love our skinny trees!

Kashton at 6 Months

Kashton is now 6 months old!
He is:
-eating fruits and veggies
-rolling and scooching
-laughing
-sleeping. A lot.
-wearing 3-6 month clothes
-playing with his toes
-sucking his thumb. All. The. Time.
-growing two teeth
-going to anyone. He likes to be held, and doesn't care by who.

And We Hunt

When Kiley and I started dating, he told me I would have to take hunter's education or else this wasn't going to work out. :) So at 18 years old I took hunter's ed with a bunch of 12 year olds... awkward, but worth it. Kiley LOVES to hunt. Like, this guy's dream job would be to take people hunting. He really likes to hunt waterfowl, but will occasionally hunt deer or elk. This year we drew for two cow elk and two does. We hunted the does a whole weekend and only saw elk and when we were elk hunting we had a hard time finding/getting close to the elk (these hunts were in different units.) Finally Kiley and his dad got theirs and I came out the next day and got my first elk. In one shot, I might add ;) Here are some photos from our hunts this fall.

A Little About Me

This year has been a big year for our family. Not only did Kiley start his new job and our family expanded with the addition of Mr. Kashton, but I also graduated with my degree in Corporate Training and Development. This has been a major accomplishment for me. I have always wanted to complete my Bachelor's degree. Not only for myself, but also for my family. I wanted to serve as an example to my children the importance of an education and also to be able to support our family if something were to happen to Kiley where he couldn't work anymore. I put in a lot of work to finish school. I was always a full time student, but the last two semesters were particularly difficult because I was pregnant, had a busy 1 year old, and was also working. Kashton was born the Sunday before finals week of my last semester of school. His due date was actually my graduation day!
I was blessed to be able to spend 6 wonderful months at home with our children, but it came time to go back to work and start paying off those hospital bills and student loans! I applied for a few positions but none of them panned out. Since Kiley works with banks he would tell me that if I worked for anyone, he would want me to work for Idaho Central Credit Union. He said that they are always so happy and friendly and that he enjoys being there. Soon after they were hiring for a Financial Service Officer and I applied. The next week Kiley was talking to Brett, one of the managers, and Brett asked him if he knew anyone looking for a job. Kiley said, "well actually, I think my wife applied last week." Three weeks later I started my new job. I absolutely LOVE it! EVERYONE there is amazing and it helps that we have great products and don't "push" things onto our members. I like being at work, which makes it easier to be away from the kiddos. I am also very excited for the resources that I have access to and how this career change is going to affect us financially. Anyways, life is good. Nothing worth having ever comes easy!!

Halloween

Halloween this year happened in a bit of a rush. I got home from work and our house kept getting hit up by trick or treaters. I couldn't even get Kaisley's hair done, we finally just had to run out the door before more people came.
Kaisley had so much fun. She went from door to door saying "trick or please!" She would then say thank you before saying "come on Mom, RUN!" and we would run to the next house.
Kais was Minnie Mouse and Kash was an elephant :)
