Hogle Zoo

The next event was going to the Hogle Zoo. The last time we went with Aunt Laura, Kaisley basically just wanted to sprint the trails to see what was next. Thankfully this time we were allowed to take our time. :)
We got to see the trainers telling the lions to stand up on the fences to eat meat. It was cool to see how big they can really be.
We also were watching the zoo keepers feed the rhinos when one of them asked Kaisley if she had any questions about rhinos. Kaisley got really shy and the next thing we knew they asked her if she would like to come down and feed them! We put whole pieces of fruit on a stick and the rhino just sucked them into his mouth and crushed them like it was nothing. The rhino we fed was named George and is 38 years old.

There were a lot of school kids at the zoo with homework assignments. Kaisley really wanted to be like them so she studied the seals. We didn't realize that she was actually drawing pictures of them. One of the seals really liked the drain at the bottom of the tank. He would go down and suck in a lot of bubbles and then blow them out. After seeing this, Kaisley drew bubbles around her seal, just like the one she was watching. The seals were definitely her favorite part of the zoo.

Towards the end, Kaisley was getting very tired and wanted to be carried everywhere (only by mommy.) We ended up bribing her to walk with some ice cream. Success.
