Anniversary Trip Day Two

The next day we drove to Park City for Laura and I's 10k trail run. It was a little difficult course with lots of large rocks to navigate around and my ankles and feet were pretty sore. I was pleased with my time though and they had a drawing at the end and I won a pair of running socks! After that we went with Kiley and Nick fishing. Kiley caught two fish while Laura and I took a cat nap in the Jeep. Then we went back into Park City to check into our AMAZING hotel. Nick used to work with someone who now works for The Canyons Resort and he hooked us up with a 3 room suite. In the winter it rents for around $1300 a night and we got it (after taxes and valet parking) for $120 and then split that with Nick and Laura. It was beautiful with awesome views. Then we went to a food festival just outside. Nick got us tickets for $50 each when they are normally $100 and they were even sold out. I have never been around so many wealthy people in my life. Everyone was very high class and one guy was asking me about a ring I was wearing, if it was a commission piece, his sister owned a gallery in Berkley. (I found it years ago but I'm sure it wasn't worth more than $10! haha... I told him it was a gift!) The food was amazing and afterward Kiley and I explored the mountain and rode on the gondola. We got in the hot tub at the pool and ordered room service before we crashed from our long day.

Anniversary Trip Day One

For our four year anniversary we went to SLC while Kaisley went camping with Grandma and Grandpa Gillette. We agreed not to get each other gifts since we would be going on this trip but Kiley insisted that he get me a tablet and I love it! I love to read so I can get ebooks from the library to read on it. I got Kiley a new workout shirt (we just got a gym membership to Gold's) and treats like jerky and pistachios. First Kiley and I went to Seven Peaks water park and played around by ourselves. I think our weight was perfect for the tube rides because we went alot faster than anyone else! I almost even flew off the front of the tube towards the end of one ride. After that we walked around the Gateway Mall until Laura and Nick were off of work. Then we went to the Bee's Baseball Game that Laura got us free tickets for. The game was really fun to watch and the Bee's won. We wondered down to the field afterwards to lay on the grass and watch the fireworks. It was the best show that I have ever seen in my life and it was the first one Kiley and I have watched together since the night before our wedding back in 2008.

4th of July

I had to work on the 4th so we didn't get to watch any fireworks as a family this year. We did go for a picnic with our friends though!

Play Date

Thursday we had the girls over for a small water playdate. Kaisley and Kara played in the water while the mom's were able to speak to another adult for awhile!
